Stocks are strong enough relative to bonds that U.S. investors ought to favor them, according to Robert Sluymer, managing director of technical strategy at Fundstrat Global Advisors LLC. Sluymer made the recommendation in a Dec. 19 report and cited the ratio between the S&P 500 Index and Treasury-bond futures. The gauge has risen as much as 8 percent since breaking a 17-year-old record on Sept. 27.
